Using Broadcast

What is Broadcast?

/broadcast <message> lets any Duels+ player send a message that appears to all Duels+ players globally. It’s very similar to Hypixel's /shout.

Broadcast messages from players are optional to view, meaning you can opt out if you don't want to receive them. However, administrative and system broadcasts will always appear as they may contain critical updates or important information.

Broadcast Community Guidelines

Broadcast is public, so all players must abide by the following rules to keep it safe and enjoyable:

Be Respectful

• No hate speech, slurs, harassment, or threats
• No sexually explicit content or NSFW material
• Treat all players with respect and fairness
• Do not impersonate staff, moderators, or other players

Keep it Appropriate

• Avoid self-promotion, spam, or advertising unrelated to Duels+
• Do not share private information about yourself or others
• Avoid posting content that could cause harm, fear, or distress

No Spam or Flooding

• Do not send repetitive or rapid messages
• Avoid emojis ❤️, CAPS, or _non-essential_ formatting

Links and External Content

• Only post links relevant to Duels+ community topics
• Do not post malicious, phishing, or unsafe links
• No promotion of external services, downloads, or currency exchanges

Sensitive Topics

• Avoid posting political, religious, or controversial content
• Do not post content related to real-world violence, illegal activity, or self-harm

Language and Formatting

• Use readable formatting & avoid walls of text, excessive punctuation, or random symbols
• Do not use obfuscation to bypass chat filters

Account Integrity

• Do not take advantage of broadcast by using multiple accounts to evade moderation
• Do not share accounts or logins with others to misuse broadcast privileges

Broadcast Abuse

Duels+ uses:

• Content filters to catch inappropriate language
• Message cooldowns to prevent spam or flooding

While these help moderate the chat, they aren’t perfect. Some offensive or unwanted content may slip through.

If you see a message that violates broadcast rules, use /dreport <player> Broadcast to report a player for Broadcast Abuse. We will review your report as soon as possible and take action if necessary.

Consequences

Violating the guidelines above may result in:

• Permanent restriction from broadcasting
• Communication bans
• Duels+ account termination for severe or repeated violations

Staff decisions are final.
